Zinc Plating Systems

Image 120 2ppl close up brakes (Mobile).jpgSteel and iron components are zinc plated to provide improved corrosion resistance. The protection is largely the result of the zinc deposit acting as an anode to the base metal. This means the zinc corrodes preferentially to the steel, therefore extending component life.

MacDermid Enthone Zinc Plating Systems provide this desired corrosion resistance as well as a bright 'blue chromium type' appearance, which adds aesthetic value to the component. The zinc plated deposit can also be passivated to produce 'black zinc' and 'zinc yellow' finishes. Latest technology includes boric acid-free kenlevel BF2 and mirror bright alkaline Envirozin Genesis technology.

Our systems offer environmental advantages being free from cyanide and strong complexing materials. All of our systems are extensively proven for plating automotive components such as fasteners and brake components and for applications found in construction and the electronics industries.

Acid

Alkaline or acid, it's your choice but be sure to choose from our market leading zinc plating systems.

ENTHOBRITE NCZ DIMENSION Produces bright zinc deposits of high visual appeal that exhibit uniform thickness distribution and have excellent adhesion properties. Easy to operate and control in volume production, being highly suited to both rack and barrel applications. Under optimum conditions, its high solution efficiency ensures that fast plating rates can be achieved without high current density burning. The process contains no complexing agents so it is easy to waste water treat.
Envirozin 120 This process offers uniform zinc deposits of excellent visual appeal and adhesion properties. Envirozin 120 has improved throwing power and distribution, leading to reduced zinc consumption. Compatible with trivalent chromium passivates, extensively used to protect fluid transfer tubes and brackets. Envirozin 120 is the alkaline zinc plating system for automotive applications
Envirozin 100 Envirozin 100 barrel zinc plating process offers uniform zinc deposits of excellent visual appeal and adhesion properties. It has improved throwing power and distribution, leading to reduced zinc consumption. Compatible with trivalent chromium passivates, Envirozin 100 is extensively used to protect fasteners and other small components which are zinc plated in bulk applications.
Envirozin Genesis Envirozin Genesis is a patented alkaline zinc plating process which produces bright zinc deposits of high visual appeal that exhibit uniform thickness distribution and have excellent adhesion properties. The process is easy to operate and control in volume production, being highly suited to both rack and barrel applications. Under optimum conditions, its high solution efficiency ensures that fast plating rates can be achieved without high current density burning.
Envirozin KO8 Envirozin KO8 is a low metal, bright zinc plating system based on a potassium hydroxide electrolyte which offers exceptional clear deposit brightness after passivation. This brightness is retained even when over coated with clear stoving lacquer. The Envirozin KO8 zinc deposit is extremely ductile, consequently, zinc flaking is reduced. Envirozin KO8 process is particularly recommended for point-of-sale equipment.

ENTHOBRITE CLZ-941 ENTHOBRITE CLZ-941 is a potassium chloride zinc plating system designed for use at higher temperature and lower metal ranges than conventional chloride zincs. These new operational ranges provide faster deposition rates and superior metal distribution. The higher temperature operation reduces solution volume growth problems that can occur in low temperature zinc solutions, provide cost saving by eliminating the need for cooling and reduced loading of waste treatment systems.
ENTHOBRITE CLZ-950 ENTHOBRITE CLZ-950 is a high speed acid zinc plating process used to plate bright and ductile zinc layers. Due to the very good throwing power and high applicable current density ENTHOBRITE CLZ-950 allows increased material throughput at reduced plating time. Ideally suited for rack operation, it has excellent plating initiation, resulting in excellent coverage in low current density areas. The deposits are mirror bright, well levelled, and ductile. The brightener exhibits a high flash point.
ENTHOBRITE CLZ-970 ENTHOBRITE CLZ-970 shows excellent brightness and levelling with superior coverage and throwing power; ideal for low current density operation. Ideally suited for plating cast iron brake components, it has a High cloud point above 80°C, good rinsing properties, superior passivate receptivity and operates with potassium, ammonium, boric acid or as a mixed system. The Brightener is completely water soluble and free of flammable solvents.
ENTHOBRITE CLZ-2410

ENTHOBRITE CLZ-2410 has been particularly developed for plating of cast iron. The process delivers very good initiation, high coverage, fast plating, good levelling and outstanding metal distribution. The process is also recommended for use in high throughput barrel lines with large barrel sizes and offers good passivate receptivity. ENTHOBRITE CLZ-2410 makes it possible to plate at exceptionally high current densities. This will result in a considerably faster plating speed with significantly reduced plating times.

Kenlevel XP Kenlevel XP, a water-based, Low Foaming system represents the latest development in acid chloride zinc plating. The flexibility of the Kenlevel XP system means that it can be used with Kenlevel XP brightener for maximum economy, or with Kenlevel HT where temperature tolerance up to 50°C is required. Both brightener alternatives offer excellent deposit brightness and levelling. Kenlevel XP is resistant to high current density burning and very receptive to passivation treatments. It may be used with either fall potassium or mixed potassium ammonium baths and is suitable for use in both rack and barrel applications.
Kenlevel BF2 Boric Acid Free system which provides exceptional, uniform brightness over a wide range of current densities. Kenlevel BF2 is recommended for high volume barrel and rack operations where burn-free and uniformly bright deposits are required. It can be operated at higher current densitiesand therefore reduce total plating times. Kenlevel BF2 exhibits superior coverage and throwing power and is also ideal for plating at low current densities. The system can be operated at low zinc concentrations, reducing waste water treatment costs.
